ACCOUNTABLE NIGERIA

I see Nigeria as a young child who feels inside his heart that he wants to run but the body is only young enough to walk yet;

ABOUT THE BOOK

In managing his strengths and abilities, he can not only focus on his feet but he needs to be aware of the positioning and use of his hands, arms, legs, knees, hips, body, neck and head as he might need any of these for pulling himself up, for balancing to stay upright while walking and for avoiding pitfalls while maintaining his progress. In addition, he needs his brain and sense organs for detecting, interpreting and planning his steps, picking out obstructions and anticipating pitfalls. Thus, this desire or vision to run into the open blue skies and enjoy the freedom the outside world holds sounds simple but the efforts requires team work involving the many parts and only a cooperation and coordination of these various parts can result in success.

It is really on us you know. We are our own liberators – Mario.
Evil prevails when good men fail to act.
Where are all the good men?

Why don’t you put it all into action? Dad you could really change lives (I say as I read the documents you sent to me). I for one think you’re doing the world a favour especially in terms of Africa. It’s rare to come across such intensity

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Born and raised in the inner city neighborhood of Isale Alfa (one of the inner and earliest communities of the Ibadan metropolis) and later lived at Olorunsogo Akanran Road; both communities in Ibadan, Oyo State.

I have worked as medical officer and as a resident in training in the Nigerian Public Institutions before leaving for further training and experience outside Nigeria. I have worked in several areas of medicine at different times and in various locations from very rural to quite urban with varying resources from very little to over-resourced. My experiences span that of being a medical officer at the junior to the principal level.

In the course of my professional life, I have worked at various levels and in various capacities requiring different demands for my skills as a person and as a physician. My various roles and responsibilities as a son, as someone who is considered an elder in the family, as the eldest of six children, as a husband, as a father and as a physician have all influenced this ideological writing in various ways. I am driven by my passion for humanity and willingness to see the best of every human thriving in economic freedom and a fair society.
